Jane's Addiction was an influential alternative rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1986. They dissolved in 1991, but briefly returned to tour in 1997 and subsequently vanished shortly thereafter. They officially returned in 2001, before breaking up yet again in 2004. The band was influenced by punk, gothic rock, metal, funk, hard rock, and psychedelic styles; lead singer Perry Farrell once described the band as a cross between Duke Ellington and Bad Brains. The band's name refers to Jane Bainter, a now ex-heroin addict, who was a housemate of the band.

Just Because Lyrics

Jane's Addiction

If I were you
I’d better watch out
When was the last time
You did anything
Just for me
Or any one else
Just because?
Just because?

You, you really should have known
Yeah you, you really should have known
Just because
Just because

You got the most
But nobody loves you
Nobody has to
Just because
Just because

You, you really should have known
Yeah you, i think you really should have known
Just because
Just because

When we first met
We passed around gifts
That was a long time ago
And yours didn’t fit

You, you really should have known
Yeah you, oh you really should have known
Just because
Just because
